Knowing (and Being Known by) God
God not only wants us to know Him, He wants to know us. What exactly does that mean? Here’s my story.
Meet Larry Short
As a three-decade (retired) employee of World Vision, Larry has had the privilege of traveling the developing world. He believes in the power of story to build bridges between people from different walks of life.
Larry now spends his time serving his home church, Elim EV Free, as a lead deacon, worship artist, and welcome and assimilation specialist. He hikes and bikes the Pacific Northwest, runs the hobby foraging organization, Mushroom Obsession, and is working on a long list of writing projects.
Larry has published Fountains of the Deep, an historical fantasy novel, several biographies and nonfiction books on church health, and is working on his first science fiction novel. Check them out here!
Larry is pictured at right on assignment in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2006 with his daughter Amanda.
Larry and his wife, Darlene, a retired R.N., live in the Pacific Northwest near his son Nathan and his wife Becky. Amanda and her husband Mike have a daughter, Annabelle.

This was a hard book for me to read continuously because it kept breaking my heart. So realistic, even though a work of fiction …. This story will stick with me for a long time; I’m hoping there is more like them to come.

What makes for really good Christian fiction? For me it has to be biblically sound, inspiring, teaching and above all entertaining. From the introduction to the last page, this book definitely fits the bill!

Once I picked it up, this book was hard to put down. The dialogue, action scenes and descriptions in the book were amazing. Would highly recommend.
